Thankful for?

One day you will wake up with a huge smile on your face because of the realization you are starting something great.  This morning I wake up to the opportunity of starting a new job after making a decision to leave a position I took in December.  When I opened my eyes  this morning I felt a feeling of "new start" written all over the day and this my friends is something that feels fantastic!

Morning gives us the opportunity to open our eyes and be thankful for the little things.  We often forget what we should be grateful for.  A simple kiss, a bank account with money or something as small as having two feet to get us to where we need to go.  We have many things to be grateful for.

Why not take the time to sit down and jot down a list of 10 things you are grateful for this morning so you can realize how great this day and all the days ahead of you will be.  Learn to appreciate the things that you once thought to be great that you simply forgot how amazing they actually where.  Today is a new day be thankful for what you've got!

What are your beliefs?

If you look back on your life there will be many things you can laugh at now that you once thought were a disaster.  I want to cover beliefs, we all learn over the course of our lives that the beliefs we had about things or even ourselves have proved to be completely false.  Once the beliefs were changed a new version of you blossomed that was hidden behind a simple false belief.

Changing your beliefs have either come through challenging yourself or someone challenging your beliefs and over a bit of time you developed a whole new set of beliefs.  I want you to think of where you are right now as you read this and the version of yourself ten yeas ago.  How have your beliefs changed?

The reason I bring up changing your beliefs is because it is so important in developing yourself into a person of growth as oppose to a person who is held back by something false. If you are going through life with the belief that you can never accomplish anything more or you believe that you could never overcome a fear you probably won't get to far and you may live with regret.  Start to challenge your beliefs one at a time. Take a bit of time for this is not an easy process to question yourself, in the end the pay off will be huge.

FEAR IS OLY THERE TO SCARE US!

Our fears aren't always something that will harm us but simply a feeling inside that will either make us step back or move ahead.  The truly successful know to push through the fear and move on to the next level of their lives.

A couple of days ago I had to make a decision to push through my fear and make a decision to change something in my life.  Making this decision was not an easy on but I had to weight out my pros and cons.  I can tell you one thing for sure the cons far outweighed the pros.

If you ever get fearful of making a decision, please I beg of you weight out the pros and cons.  Even if you are unsure what the pros and cons may be look at the regret you may need to live with by not pushing though that fear.  Because there is nothing worse than living and saying the words:
"I really should have, when I had the chance!"

Forget plan B

How is the new year's resolution going?

Did you start off with gusto, a plan and dream to become a new you?  Like the majority, you probably said yes but I wonder how it's going to be in about two weeks.  Life's little stresses may set in,  things may not go as planned and your old habits will start to creep back into your life.

When all this happens I want you to breath, take moment and write out your plan.  You see it's not about having a plan B, it's about not giving up when things get a little hectic.  Try again and again, don't be afraid to start over I promise you won't look like a fool.  To me a fool is someone who quits at the first sign of defeat.

What's your reason?

As I woke up this morning my first thought was the mountain of work I needed to do when I arrived at my job and it made me a little anxious.  The thought of non stop busy work is not an attractive thought first thing before getting out of bed.  A moment or two passed and I slowly shifted my thoughts to writing this blog, some video work I'm planning on working on and my bank account growing and it literally got me right out of bed.

We have two types of thoughts, ones that make us happy and ones that make us sad.  A great practice first thing in the morning is to practice gratitude and thinking of reasons why and how to make a difference in this world.  Is it an easy task....NO!...but you still need to reach inside of your mind and use the happy thoughts that make you eager to succeed.

Being happy is not something you can be 24 hours a day 7 days a week but as long as you try on a daily basis to make yourself happy and excited you are well on your way to living a life of success.

A new you

Today I want to talk about one of the worst times you can experience because it's one of the best times you can experience.
I want to discuss all lows that we all seem to experience from time to time through our lives.  It could be minor like going to buy something a realize the store is sold out or it could be something a little bit more serious like loss of a loved one or a financial crisis.

When we hit these lows it can be very difficult to rationalize with ourselves that things will one day get better, yet things always do seem to get better.  Myself, over the last couple of years I've gone through some heartache and some difficult times but I've learned one thing though it all.  Once I got through the hurt and grieving I knew it was time to improve myself.  It was time to pick myself up and dust myself off and get back to work on myself.

Once you get to an all time low you have a choice you can give up and feel worse or one morning you can wake up and become someone that you have been waiting to become, all you need to do is try.  However long it takes you to come out of your hurt know that on the other side there is a version of you that is stronger, better and eager to succeed.  Once you find that person inside you and trust in them your whole world will change for the better.

Doors can open

I want to begin but letting you know that I believe in destiny.  I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason whether good or bad.  Since I'm an optimism I prefer to see why things happen for the better than trying to understand why things go sour in life.

Some of you may know that I have recently uprooted my life and move across the country started a new relationship and got a new job many thing have change in my life.  The series of events over the last 6 months have been a little unreal to say the least.  People I have run into, opportunities that have opened up to me and even lessons I have learned extremely quickly have helped me understand that when you open yourself up to change and let go of your negative beliefs great things can happen to you.

In August, while at a conference I met an amazing individual and it seems the second we met I knew something amazing was meant to be.  An energy came over me and I took out a pen and paper as I often do and simply started writing out my future.  And slowly but surely what I wrote started to come true.  I've come to realize the things we achieve in life have a direct connection to how much we believe in ourselves and how much we want something.
I'm not quite sure if you have made a New Years resolution this year yet I know you can achieve whatever you go after as long as you want and believe you can do it.
